Tiwahe Lodge holds several fun events each year, as described in the Lodge Policies. As event dates approach, registration information will become available in the Activities page.

Lodge Banquet

At this formal dinner held in early January, all Arrowmen gather for a program that celebrates the accomplishments of the previous year.  Chapter and individual awards are presented, Vigil nominees are called out, and the lodge officers for the new year are installed.  Guest speakers often accompany other special presentations at the dinner.

Lodge Encampment

Each Spring the lodge will have a weekend gathering at a council camp, at which Arrowmen provide needed service to the camp.  After a few hours of work, fun activities are held, such as lodgeball, capture the flag, drumming and dancing, and more.  This is often the first opportunity of the year for Arrowmen to go through a Brotherhood Ceremony.

Scout Fair

At every council Scout Fair the lodge has a presence, often opening its trading post and selling snacks, beverages, and snow cones, often raising funds to support participants going to NOAC.  The lodge's program varies from year to year, based on plans developed by the LEC. Volunteers are always needed to work the day's shifts.

Optional Work Project

In the Fall or Spring, the lodge may decide to take on a large service project as needed by the Council. In the past, Tiwahe lodge has carried out such feats as building the deck of Mataguay's Silva Lodge, and building a new Baden-Powell Fire Ring at Mataguay.

Lodge Ordeal

The lodge will hold about four Ordeals, or Induction Weekends, throughout the year, at one of the council's three camps. These are times not only to induct and welcome new members, but for Arrowmen to bond and support the council through Cheerful Service.

Section Conclave

Each October, one of the lodges of Section W6W will host Conclave, a large gathering of Arrowmen in the section. This event features shows, competitions, and training classes, where lodges exchange their skills and knowledge.

Lodge Fellowship

In November the lodge holds its main fellowship event over a weekend at a council camp. This often includes classes, games, a campfire, a patch auction, and other fun activities as formulated by lodge leadership. Elections for the Lodge and Chapters are also held at this event.

Lodge Leadership Development (LLD)

Lodge and Chapter officers and advisers receive their annual training at this day-long event, held in December or January. It involves seminars, a selection of classes, and planning for the next year. This training, while required for all officers in the lodge, is also useful for those interested in becoming involved in lodge leadership in the future.
