Welcome HeSapa Chapter, Black Mountain District
On behalf of Tiwahe Lodge, I would like to officially welcome the newest chapter to the lodge: The HeSapa Chapter. The HeSapa Chapter will be serving the Black Mountain District. The name “HeSapa” was taken from the Lakota Sioux. In the eighteenth century, the Lakota Sioux moved west from Minnesota to claim the land which they called “HeSapa” (Black Mountains). This area became more commonly known as the Black Hills.

I would like to congratulate Nico P. on his election to the position of Chapter Chief, and I would also like to thank Tom Hamlett and Edward Smith for stepping up to serve as advisers.

We wish them great success as they move forward on this new venture.

Yours in Brotherhood,
Marcus Sneed, Lodge Adviser

2011 W4S Conclave... "Outstanding!"
Dear Arrowmen,

Regarding the Section Conclave, the only thing that I can say is “WOW”. We had 99 Tiwahe Lodge participants in attendance. The spirit and energy expressed was overwhelming. Jace, with the help of Mrs. Palma, produced a terrific Conclave newsletter. Daimar did an exceptional job with his Camp Promotion display. Our dancers and drummers were incredible. Jovan’s newsletters earned a second place award. Our sports teams (with the help of our favorite exchange student, Jonas) won first place in both the Lodgeball and Basketball competitions. Our Brotherhood team from Hadaazli-to Chapter took first place, and won the honor of performing the Section Brotherhood ceremony. Through the combined contributions and efforts of all, Tiwahe Lodge was awarded the Niganet Award for the best overall performance at Conclave. To say that I am proud of this Lodge, would be an incredible understatement. JOB VERY WELL DONE!

Lastly, on behalf of the entire Lodge, congratulations to Ster on his election to the position of W4S Section Chief. Without a doubt, the Section will be in great hands in 2012. We are definitely proud of you.

Marcus Sneed
Lodge Adviser
